Prices, Policies and Procedures are subject to change without notice.

Terms: Deliveries are C.O.D. only; no exceptions will be made. UPS orders are only shipped C.O.D. or with credit card payment at the time your order is placed. Add $10.00 for UPS C.O.D. orders. All discounts that you may have received will be charged back to invoices not paid within 30 days and to invoices paid with a check that has been returned to us.

Minimum Order Amounts : Your customer service representative will provide the specific minimum order amount for delivery to your area. A minimum order amount of $100.00 is required for all UPS orders, except drop shipments. Orders not meeting this minimum will be assessed a 5% drop ship charge.  Case quantities are listed; all items ordered in case quantities are entitled to a 5% discount.

Toll Free Ordering and Customer Service is available at 800-353-2473. Our dedicated fax number is 919-644-8511. Office hours are Monday - Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm. Delivery orders must be placed on Thursday before your delivery week, or faxed in by 8:00am on that Friday. Orders are welcome anytime prior to your deadline. Add-ons to your order are accepted up to your deadline.

Back Orders: We do not automatically fill back orders. Please reorder all out-of-stock items.

Returns: Returns must be pre-approved by a customer service representative in order to receive credit. Our warehouse must receive all merchandise before credit is issued. Please do not make changes to your invoices; credit will appear on your next invoice. Merchandise must be in its original packaging, unopened, and in resalable condition to receive full credit. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking and handling charge when these conditions are not met. Returned merchandise that is unsalvageable or discontinued, and expired food items will be disposed of at the customer’s expense with no credit issued. Merchandise is not returnable after 30 days.

Damaged Merchandise: If your order is delivered on a Diamond Avian Distributors truck, then please alert the driver of any damaged merchandise at the time of delivery. UPS insures all UPS shipped packages. Their claim procedure requires that you contact them upon receipt of the damaged goods. We cannot authorize credit for damaged merchandise unless you follow UPS procedure and they acknowledge the claim. The UPS claim telephone number is 800-742-5877. For drop ship orders it will be necessary for your customer to initiate the UPS claim.Only orders that have followed this procedure will be replaced or refunded.

Payment: Deliveries are C.O.D. only with no exceptions. We accept cash, cashiers checks, checks, money orders, check or debit cards, and credit cards including MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Discover. A $30.00 fee will be charged for all returned checks. If you pay with a credit or debit card, payment is expected at the time your order is placed; your card will not be charged until the order is shipped or loaded for delivery.

Shipping is via UPS. A minimum order amount of $100.00 is required for all UPS orders except drop shipments. Add $10.00 for UPS C.O.D. orders.

Free UPS Shipping* to:

  • NC with only a $300.00 order.
  • SC and VA with only a $350.00 order.
  • Others with only a $400.00 order.
  • *excluding bags over 5lbs, cages, carriers, and gallons of liquid.

Delivery: We provide delivery to all of the east coast except Florida and northern Maine. Please speak to your customer service representative for details regarding the delivery schedule to your area. A nominal delivery charge will be assessed to all invoices. The fee is determined by your location.

Drop shipping is a service we also provide. We will ship directly to your customer with your return address and contact information. You are responsible for the shipping costs and a 5% packaging and handling charge. This catalog provides weights of the shippable items so you can estimate the shipping charges. Catalog weights are to the nearest pound, rounded up; minimum weight for any item is one (1) pound. Remember to consider the weight of the box and packing materials when determining shipping costs. Drop shipments are only accepted with credit card payment at the time the order is placed. Drop ship orders are accepted by fax or email only; email to Jackie@DiamondAvian.com

Food Guarantee: Food items are perishable. Please remember to rotate your stock. We pride ourselves on getting food to you with a long shelf life. We store our foods in a climate-controlled warehouse, rotate our stock with every shipment, and practice rigid pest prevention and control. We guarantee the freshest foods are delivered to you. However, we cannot guarantee the sale of food items in your store. Please order wisely and rotate stock regularly to prevent having expired foods on your shelves. This will reduce unnecessary returns and help to keep our prices low.
